It's a remake of the Hunter X Hunter 1999 and its Ova : Ova 1 2002 and Ova Greed Island 2003 and Ova 3 G.I Final 2004 . The remake was so Loyal to the original anime But some little Scene were Cut to save some time for the new Episode that will added after it Complete the Original anime episode . The New Show was so Refresh When I watched the old one I was so angry Because of the Clarity wasn't cool But Now it Gives you a Feeling that it's Not the Remake its so much Better in the Story and in the Graphic Quality in the End I Enjoyed it as the same I enjoyed the old one and Now with the new Episode that Came out I can Say I enjoyed it more so I Give my thanks to the Creator Of this Great Show Good Job.

Up until the midpoint of the show I was really enjoying myself, then came the chimera ant arc and the it took a nose dive into a crap volcano! I'm forcefully watching it to the end just to see what happens after they wrap up this arc. The show was a regular shonnen anime with somewhat predictable development, although, due to it's weirdness, reserved us some surprises not taking the beaten path all the way to the end, but taking a detour and droping a story line to go somewhere different. The tower where they train and fight in a tournament is one such case. The mafia auction arc was pretty good, though erratic. The back ground story is nearly unfollowable with so many changes in direction but it seamed well enough written when it came to character interaction. That was a smart arc with different types of knowledge like the antique hunting and forging to move the story forward and developing characters. Now for the chimera ant arc...should have ended with the queen. Weird nonsensical monters, slavish sexual inuendo that is just wrong for a shonnen, nearly infinite amount of decent antagonists with almost no fighting... the whole thing just deprived the viewer of any sense of catarsis, turning mass-murdering monsters into allies and even "good guys". Everything wrong with it should have ended with the protagonists killing the king's guard and the queen, because what came next was just torture! Endless set up and preparations for a showdown between king/king's guards and the hunters, just to have it slowed to a literal super slowmotion speed with narration of everyone's thoughts and barely any fighting, and then they take every painstakingly achieved progress away by reviving the king or removing effects of their powers. I could compare it to another activity teenage boys do to themselves when they are alone, but with no payout in the end, just a whole lot of chaffing. I could go on and trash Gon's break down over Kite, a guy he barelly knew, but I'm already wasting too much of my time by watching the show. If you are a teenage boy that's never watched a shonnen before and this is the ONLY one you can get your hands on, I guess you'll be alright. For anyone else STAY CLEAR!

Hunter x Hunter. A marvelous story about a young boy who vowed to become a Hunter just like his father. Tasked with learning skills on both the mental and physical levels, Gon Freeces travels the world in hopes of finding his father who abandoned him at a young age. After meeting Killua Zoldyk who is an assassin in his own right joins Gon on his quest. They soon become best friends and discover new adventures which leads them to mysterious places, along with even more risky roads of dangerous people along the way. Hunter x Hunter captivates the viewer in every episode. Emotions run high during the arc stories especially during the Chimera ant arc. Episode 135 being the most potent of them all for some tense scenes that pulls on the human condition. The music is top notch through out. Action is above normal expectations, as well as learning about the mystic ideals of Nen, which is the interpretation of Chi that resides in any human being. I thoroughly enjoyed this series from the first episode to the last where Gon finally meets his father Ging Freeces. Beyond the obvious plot, I loved every character as well. From Netero, Knov, Morel, Mito and the entire Zoldyk family who are about as psychotic as the bush family line. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree as they say. Between fights of bravery, despair, joy, sadness and anger, anyone who watches this series can relate to each character on some level. Whether they are a fighter or simply a worker. Hunter x Hunter will continue to blaze a trail for those who dare to dream and hope for a brighter future. A word of warning concerning episode 135. Keep a box of tissues handy. You will need it. It was considered to be one of the finest episodes of the entire series.

I want to share a lot about Hunter x Hunter i want to go on and on but i am not a professional reviewer or writer but i will try my best. I agree with others who reviewed Hunter X Hunter , that it has a childish like beginning . When i start watching it i did not plan to watch it further because of the above reason but i give Hunter X Hunter a chance and watched few episode and i was amazed by the story and the characters it got me hooked really. I am a anime lover and watched almost every famous title out there for example: One piece, Naruto, Bleach and much more. The story of Hunter X Hunter is about a twelve year old boy named Gon Freecss who has been told that his parent were killed in car accident but in reality they are alive and later he found out about his father by his father's old acquaintance that his father is alive and he is famous hunter. The show has many incredible fight sequence, The characters in the anime are super, since they all have their own ability and unique appearance. You will sit at the edge of your seat when the fights commence, and as the episodes progress our heroes face new difficulties, while still keeping the crazy humor, The genre itself is a ACTION,THRILLER & this has everything someone who enjoys anime series could ever ask for. I recommend this series to everyone and it doesn't matter what genres you like more, just trust me and give this series a go but stick with it cause it's kinda slow at the beginning. Typically, Hunters devote themselves to tracking down priceless items, mystical places, and the unseen wonders of the world.

I said what I said. Wish there were more episodes. Loved every second of it.

This is a very well-made anime, but it's not perfect. The main character feels really two dimensional and his friends are not a lot better. Besides that, it's cool.

Let me start off by saying that I loved this series, until it reached the true Greed Island arc and became incredibly stupid and boring. What happened? I don't get it at all. This show was intriguing, well written and so fun to watch, but then with this stupid new MSRPG gameplay is both tedious and lasts way too long and downright stupid. I might come back and watch this show again, but I really wish that the Greed Island arc was wiped from canon, or rewritten to actually be good.

So much unnecessary explaination and narration it sickening, such a stupid so only for edgy kid I hate this kind of show

I really wanted to give this show a try, I loved the first 40 episodes but then it went very downhill and ended in the toilet, the main characters didn't change, some characters are based on currently existing better characters and the chimera ant arc was very cliché, too long and full of tropes. The innocent one who changed the villain, the protagonist who unleashed the beast, even the humans are the real monsters trope existed. It made me really sad I liked the idea of Nen and there were some characters I really liked but I just couldn't find it that amazing like it was portrayed.
